Where are the Hoboken Tennis Programs at Stevens held?
For our summer 2023 adult tennis clinics, all classes will take place at the set of two south tennis courts located next to the new University Center. Please click on the DIRECTIONS link for more detailed directions.
How many tennis courts are at Stevens? Are there lights for evening play?
There are six (6) recently renovated tennis courts at Stevens. Two (2) of the south courts (University Center Tennis Courts) have lights for evening play.
What happens if it rains?
In the event of inclement weather, classes will be canceled. Unfortunately, I do not have the ability to predict the weather any better than the Weather Channel. Please check the local forecast by clicking HERE. If you would like a better assessment of the court conditions you can contact me within one-hour of the class.
Are the Stevens Tennis Courts open to the public?
At this time the answer is unfortunately no. I am hoping this policy changes soon so stayed tuned for updates!
I just found out about the Stevens Tennis programs…Is it too late to join?
Unless you missed the summer season altogether, it’s not too late to join. Many new tennis players join our classes each week. Due to the popularity of our tennis programs, we have been extending our classes into the fall season! Our classes do fill up quickly so be sure to reserve your spot soon!
How do I sign up for the adult tennis programs? Can I just show up?
This season you can sign up for our tennis programs online! Click on the “Summer Adult Tennis Programs” link above and fill out the designated form for the respective program. You can always drop by the courts to walk-on last minute but know that we only accept a maximum of 12 people per class!
Are the adult tennis clinics affiliated with Stevens?
No. All tennis programs are operated by Steve Gachko, Head Tennis Coach at Stevens who runs SG Tennis, LLC.
My child loves tennis! Will you be offering any junior tennis programs this spring/summer?
Unfortunately, we are not offering any junior tennis clinics or camps this summer. However, if you are interested in private or small group lessons please contact me directly for more info!
